Margie Padgitt, Director

​

Marge is a veteran chimney service owner, and trainer. She specializes in codes and standards, reports and contracts, and dealing with insurance and real estate transactions. 

​

Marge served on the board of directors for the National Chimney Sweep Guild, the Midwest Hearth, Patio, and Barbecue Association, the Masonry Heater Association of North America, and served as a board member and director of a regional association for 25 years. 

​

Marge is passionate about education for chimney professionals and the public.

Gene Padgitt, Director of Training

​

Gene is a 40-year veteran chimney technician, expert mason, and gas specialist. He is a Missouri State Licensed Private Fire Investigator, Licensed Mechanical Contractor, CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep, and NFI Certified Gas Specialist. He also holds a degree in HVACR from Vatterott and Sullivan.

Gene is versed in all aspects of chimney construction, masonry heater design and construction, and brick oven construction for commercial and residential applications.

Audrey Elder, Office Manager/Membership

​

Audrey has worked as the office manager for a chimney sweeping/construction business for five years. She handles the membership for the organization, manages social media, and writes articles for the blog. Audrey is the author of two books with more on the way. She is also a professional historical researcher.
